Artist Statement

Know Thy Self

My work begins with structure: lines, shapes, and fields of color that form a language between order and movement. Two threads run through the work. The first is faith — across most of these paintings a small gold dot appears as a marker of God, the point within the circle from which all geometry extends. The second is heritage — the mountains of Lares, Puerto Rico, Taíno memory, and the discipline of the craft.

Studio KTS means Know Thy Self. The phrase is a reminder that art is not only decoration; it is a mirror, a record, and a way of discovering what is still forming inside the artist and the viewer.
